EDWARDS, Carrie A. Castilow Anderson, of Elm Grove, died peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2009 in the Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling.

Born in Elm Grove on November 24, 1909, Carrie was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Schilling Castilow. She was a Protestant and a devoted mother, grandmother and a gold lifetime member of the Elm Grove Eagles Aeries 1891.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Anderson and her second husband, George Edwards; her daughters,
Mary Anderson and Peggy Mendrick; her sisters, Martha Hores, Kathryn Nickerson, Leatel Laverne Miller and Mary Eleanor Marvin;
her brothers, William, Carl "Leech," Earl McKinley, Harry Robert and John Castilow, and a granddaughter, Barbara Jean Mendrick.

Surviving are her son, Charles L. Anderson and his wife, Mollie of Elm Grove; her sisters, Helen Shook of Flushing, Ohio, Betty Emma Hill of Wheeling,
and Clara Belle Delatore of Warwood; her granddaughters, Diana Scott and her husband, Keith and Carrie McBride and her husband, Patrick;
her grandsons, Charles Mendrick and his wife, Pam and Paul Edward Mendrick and his wife, Pam;
seven great grandchildren, Desa Ray Stevens and her husband, Jeremy, Keith Scott and his wife, Kristen, Eric Scott, David and Shannon Mendrick, Elizabeth
and Jessica McBride; and three great grandchildren.

Friends received on Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St.,
Wheeling with the Reverend Margie Carr-Nickell officiating.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.

Memorial contributions may be made to Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Homestead Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
