Mrs. Beverly Bostic Burke, age 51, went to be with Jesus on Monday (November 9, 2015) at her home in Swords Creek, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she was born February 3, 1964 in Richlands, Virginia the daughter of the late Carnie Odell and Emily Ellen Bostic. A devoted Christian, she was a member of the Worship Center in Swords Creek, Virginia and loved serving the Lord by playing music and singing for Him. A 1982 graduate of Honaker High School, she had formerly been employed at Lebanon Apparel and as a bus drive for Head Start, but her most rewarding task was being the best mom to her boys whom she loved so.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Bostic.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Johnny Burke of the home; two sons, Aaron Burke and Adam Burke both of the home; three brothers, Mark Bostic and wife, Robin, Jeff Bostic and wife, Patricia, and Allen Hubbard all of Swords Creek; one sister, Dena Anders and husband, Robert of Swords Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Tommy Dye and Pastor Robert Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Junior Bond, Shawn Bostic, Josh Hubbard, Justin Honaker, Andre Kennedy, and Gary Woodward.
Relatives and friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday, where an evening service will be conducted both evenings at 7:00 PM.
