Jessie Lois Neely, 86, of Lenoir, NC, formerly of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Caldwell Hospice – Robbins Center in Hudson, NC following a short illness.
Born March 25, 1929 at Pipestem, she was a daughter of the late John Levi and Ada Keaton Neely.
Jessie was a member of the Pipestem Southern Baptist Church. She was an employee of Maidenform in Princeton, WV with 40 years of service. She was a 1946 graduate of Hinton High School. Jessie was active in Senior Citzens and Pipestem Ruritan Club activities. She enjoyed quilting, baking, embroidery, and spending time with her family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Neely; four brothers, Prince, Clarence, Delbert, and Cary Neely; and three sisters, Gussie Meador, Arlis Richards, and Audie Meador.
Graveside committal services will be Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:30 PM with Dr. Roy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mt. Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Caldwell Hospice Center, 526 Pine Mtn. Road, Hudson, NC 28638 or the Pipestem Southern Baptist Church, PO Box 90, Pipestem, WV 25979.
