The funeral for Kenneth Ray Lumpkins Sr., 69, is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Round Island Baptist Church with Mike Green and Phillip Willingham officiating. Viewing time is 10-11 a.m.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lumpkins passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at home.
He retired from Tennessee Valley Authority at Browns Ferry in Athens.
Mr. Lumpkin was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Lumpkins; his wife, Sandra Lumpkins; one sister, Edna Coggins; two brothers, J.E. Lumpkins and Mark Lumpkins.
Survivors include one son, Ken Lumpkins Jr. and wife Amy of Athens; one daughter, Traci Lumpkins McGill and husband Bret of Athens; six grandchildren, Zach McGill and wife Haley of Decatur, Carley McGill, Emrey McGill, Raley McGill, Kendall Lumpkins and Taylor Lumpkins, all of Athens; three sisters, Myra Morris and Elizabeth Smith, both of Athens, and Bennie Sue Willingham and husband Wallace of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Mitchell, Ricky Mitchell, Tim Clark, Danny Carter, Willis White, Maurice “Poodle” Gautreau and Jim Morris.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
