Keith R. Allison, 91, of Barron, WI died peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2015.

Keith was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving as a navigator on a B-29 in the South Pacific during World War II. On his return to Wisconsin, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating from the School of Business. While attending UW-Madison he met his future wife, Margaret, on a blind date; they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past October.

Keith worked for 19 years for Jerome Foods before he and Marge purchased the Erickson Agency in Barron, WI; which they operated for over 20 years. Chatting with his customers was a highlight of his years spent at the agency. Keith will be remembered as an avid golfer and overall sports fan. He had perfected the sports “hat trick” of watching one sporting event on TV, reading about another and listening to a third on the radio, keeping perfect track of them all.

Keith and Marge were “winter Texans” for 25 years enjoying both golf and square dancing in the warmer temperatures. Keith volunteered his time and energy in a range of activities over the years including 40+ years with the Barron Kiwanis Club. Keith enjoyed reading, playing bridge, gardening and genealogy research when he could fit those activities between golf games.

Keith is survived by his Wife: Marge, Daughters: Carol (David) Aggen, Joan (Helmut) Porcher, Beth (Richard) Strauss, Grandchildren: Rachelle (Matthew) Cook, Peter (Melanie) Aggen, Kaitlin (Doug) Eichman, Rebecca Strauss, Scott (Jade) Porcher, Elise Porcher and Lauren Strauss, Great- Grandson: William Cook, Brothers: Dean (Bonnie) Allison, Ross Allison, Brother-in-Law: Robert Clark, Sister-in-Law: Phyllis Field.

Keith is preceded in death by his Parents: Harold and Helen Allison, Sister: Ruth Clark and Brother: Fred Field. Per Keith’s wishes, a private family gathering has been planned. Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be at the Northern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Rausch & Steel funeral Home in Barron, WI. Online condolences can be made at www.rauschandsteelfunealhome.com.
