LEXINGTON Helen Jane Eppley, 80, of Frederick Street died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in MedCentra lMansfield Hospital after a short illness. She was born August 20, 1922, m Muskingum County to Edward J. and Helen Wagner Weiser, and moved to Lexington in 1957. While " in Zanesville, Jane had worked as a switchboard operator with Ohio Bell Telephone Company in the early 1940s. A homemaker, she sold Avon products for 25 years. She was a gifted seamstress who loved doting on her children and family. She was a member of Resurrection Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Donald H. Eppley, whom she married August 11, 1943; two daughters and a son-in-law; one son and daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Louise O'Hanlon of Texas, William and Joyce Weiser and Robert and Pauline Weiser, all of Zanesville, and Adeline and Richard Scott of Jacksonville, Florida; and sister-in-law, Margaret Weiser of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters Charles Weiser, Mary Thomas, Gregory Weiser, Johnny Weiser, Florence Brown and Betty Powell. Friends may call todav, Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a m., conducted by Father Stanley Sybka. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to troy Township Firefighters Association may be made at the funeral home.
