Dear daughter of Louis and Katherine (Kaszubowski) Mertz. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Katie Schaedig, and Bea Skaggs, and by her nieces, nephews, friends, and the Mercy Community.
The Funeral Mass was held at McAuley Center Chapel.

Sister Marian Mertz, RSM (Religious Sister of Mercy), of Farmington Hills, died peacefully Thursday, November 12, 2015 at McAuley Life Center. She was surrounded by her sisters and loving staff.
She was born to Louis and Katherine (Kasubowski) Mertz August 22, 1923, in Rogers City. She is survived by two sisters, Katie Shaedig of Rogers City and Bea Skaggs of Cheboygan, as well as many nieces, nephews, colleagues and the Sisters of Mercy.
Funeral services were held at McAuley Life Center, including a welcoming service Monday, November 16, and a Scripture/Remembrance Vigil. The Mass of Resurrection was Tuesday followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
McCabe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
