Born October 7, 1917 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary C. (Butcher) Wehn. Kathryn was the loving wife of Bruce C. Hyde to whom she was married for 6 years and Edgar L. Born who died July 7, 1993.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Hanover, where she was an active volunteer and Sunday School Teacher.
Kathryn retired from Stylecraft of Baltimore. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Muskins Shoe Factory, also of Baltimore.
In addition to her husband, Bruce, Kathryn is survived by her son, Edgar L. Born of Fredericksburg, Va.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Grace Myers of Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Marshall; and one brother; and nine sisters.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Kathryn's life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with her Pastor the Rev. Michael Osladil officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
