CLARRISA AMANDA (BEAN) NOBLE
Clarrisa was the daughter of Frances Mariah Bishop and her first husband, Charles Bean. She was born and raised in Drury Township where her father died in 1850 when he was 43 years old. Clarrisa was only five and her older sister, Susan Frances was 7 years old when they lost their father.

In the 1860 census the girls are found living with their widowed mother in Drury Township, Rock Island County, IL. Listed as Family #72; Frances M Beans, Head of Household, age 28; daughters: Susan F Beans age 8 and Clarrissa A Beans age 6. Also living with them is their mother's sister-in-law, Clarissa Beans age 34 and their grandmother, 69 year old Rachel Bishop; as well as Wm B Smith age 27 and 22 year old farm laborer, Levi Brooks.

Sometime after the census their mother marries Wm Smith. In the 1870 census the family is listed as Family #23: William Smith age 37, head of Household, occupation Farmer; Frances Smith, wife, age 38, Keeping House; daughters: Susan Smith age 18 and Clarrissa Smith age 16 both listed at home. Plus Frances and William's three sons: Twins; Charles and Chester Smith age 6 and Frank Smith age 4.

Clarrisa's mother, Frances passed away on April 14, 1878 when her brother's were just 12 and 14 years old. In the 1880 census Clarrisa is still living with her step father and brother's. The extended family is listed as Family #223: William B. Smith age 47, Head of Household, occupation Farmer; sons Chester W. & Charles E. Smith both age 16 & Frank A. Smith age 15 all working on the farm; Clarrissa Bean age 26, step daughter, teaching school; also living with them is Clara Harrison (Clarrisa's Aunt; Clarrisa Bean from the 1870 census) age 54, sister-in-law, keeping house and her husband 48 year old Thomas Harrison, occupation brick layer.

On Dec 22, 1881 Clarrisa married Edmund H Noble, in Mercer County, Illinois. He was the son of Sarah (Pratt) and David Fruit Noble. To this union was born three sons; Dow Fruit Noble, Guy Harrel Noble and Victor Edmund Noble.

Clarrisa and Edmund lived in Eliza where their family engaged in farming. Clarrisa died in 1918 at the age of 65. She is buried in the Eliza Creek Cemetery with many other of their family members.
