Betty Jennings was born in Flynn, TX on February 27, 1936 to her parents Bert and Wynana (Mcknight) Jennings. She was married to Franklin D. Morris until he passed. Betty was a caring person who loved animals and adopted many strays over the years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin. She was a loving grandma and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Reading was a passion of hers there were many a book she passed on to friends to read. She was an amazing cook always having family and friends over to eat. Betty worked at Westmoreland Grocery Store for many years. She was in charge of the produce section and always kept them fresh. She was an amateur botanist and loved to plant flowers in her yard, the “four O’ clocks” were her favorite. Betty was a loving and caring person but family was her most prized possession.
She is survived by her daughter Shannon Morris; five sons and their families, Michael Morris, Stephen Morris, Scott Morris, Timothy Morris, and Matthew Morris. Three Sisters; Lois Florine Bennett, Glen Rose Caldwell and Jean Crane. Betty is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
