Juliana Marie Tutko Sardisco

02/14/1937 - 11/15/2015

Services for Juliana Marie Tutko Sardisco will be at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Monsignor Earl V. Provenza. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. A visitation prior to services will be held at 11:30 a.m., followed by a rosary at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Sardisco was born February 14, 1937 in Linden, New Jersey and passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Julie grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and graduated from St. Mary of the Assumption High School. She moved to Washington, D.C. and attended George Washington University. While living and working in D.C., she met her beloved husband, Anthony. She traveled all over the country and Canada with her husband's NFL career. After settling in Shreveport, Julie became an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, served on the parish council, and participated on a mission trip to Mexico with Father Murray Clayton. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, listening to music and playing the piano. Her life was full, raising a family of four daughters and being a devoted wife in the south, yet she always held dear her northeastern roots. Julie will be remembered by her sharp sense of humor and her knowledge of current events.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony G. "Tony" Sardisco; parents, John William and Mary Maskulak Tutko; sisters, Mary Tutko Taupier and Rosemary Tutko DiSpirito, and brother John Tutko.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Madeleine Sardisco Bergeron of Baton Rouge, LA, Andrea Sardisco Payne and husband, Douglas of Park City, UT, Donna Sardisco Brydson and husband, John of Greenwich, CT, and Julie Ann Sardisco of Boston, MA; sister, Irene Tutko Reppert of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Claire Bergeron Edwards and husband, Evan of Lafayette, LA, Andrew Paul Bergeron of Nashville, TN, Michael Anthony Bergeron and Caroline Madeleine Bergeron of Baton Rouge, LA, Matthew Douglas Payne and David Anthony Payne of Park City, UT, Malcolm John Brydson and Katharine Irene Brydson of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by her much loved nieces and nephews in the northeast.

Pallbearers are Art Adams, Louis Cascio, Salvatore "Rocky" Cascio, Thomas Cascio, Tony Catanese, Sam Ned Gregorio, Tony Papa, and Tony Rinaudo.

The family extends their love and gratitude to all who cared for her at Spring Lake Senior Care Center.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Joseph Catholic School, 1210 Anniston Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105 in memory of Juliana Tutko Sardisco.
