RYE — Frances S. Hoyt, 91 of Rye, N.H., died peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015, surrounded by her family.

Frances was born in Lawrence, Mass., July 27, 1924 to Lloyd and Marion Seavey and moved to Portsmouth. She graduated PHS in 1942.

She married Arthur F. Hoyt in 1947 and moved to Rye. She worked at the Bowl-O-Rama for many years. She and her husband wintered in Florida and traveled the country in their 5th wheel. She volunteered for the United Way, Hospice and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Theresa's Parish in Rye. Her greatest joy was her family and giving her time to others.

She was preceded by her husband Arthur and sisters Mary Hersey and Lillian Johnson and is survived by her daughters JoAnn Alessi and her husband Dave of Cape Neddick, Maine, Diane Cullen and her husband Roger of Eliot, Maine and Fran Bishop and husband Edward of Rye, N.H., along with 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
