MRS. SPENCER'S RITES MONDAY AT SWEETWATER

Sweetwater, Dec. 5 - Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Spencer, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church here. The Rev. L. D. Ball of Lamesa, a former pastor, is to officiate. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of the Cate-Spencer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spencer was the mother of Rile Spencer, a partner in the funeral home firm. She died Friday afternoon in San Angelo at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jimmie Collins.

Born in Jack County, Mrs. Spencer moved to Decatur with her parents when she was a small girl. She was married in Decatur to Albert Spencer on Dec. 26, 1901, and the couple moved to Sweetwater in 1924. Mr. Spencer died Dec. 7, 1936.

For the last ten years, Mrs. Spencer had lived in Sweetwater, San Angelo and Abilene.

Pallbearers will be D. D. Dixon, W. H. Bennett, Jack Geer, Blanton McCord, F. L. Shaw, C. H. Cartright, Raymond Armstrong, all of Sweetwater.

Survivors are three sons, Rile Spencer of Sweetwater, J. L. Spencer of San Angelo and Albert Spencer of Abilene; four daughters, Mrs. T. E. Etheredge of Sweetwater, Mrs. Vernon Wright of Baytown, Mrs. Fred Toler of Harlingen and Mrs. Collins of San Angelo; 14 grandchildren; four brothers, Walter McCright, Newt and Will, all of Rotan, and J. H. of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Anna McCall of Dallas and Mrs. C. A. Webb of Ackerly.
