A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Moose Lodge, 22 4th St NW, Mason City, IA.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the charity of your choice in her honor.
Lorna was born Dec 1, 1932, in Rockwell, Iowa to Henry and Margaret Arndt. She was the youngest child of 10 children. Lorna moved to Mason City with her parents in 1940. She was united in marriage to Norman Suby in 1954 and they were later divorced.
During her working years, she worked for State Brand Creamery, Marshall & Swift Cleaners and Metalcraft all of Mason City.
Lorna met Dean Haberkorn and they enjoyed many years of camping, fishing and long rides in the country.
Lorna also enjoyed country music, dancing and taking care of her yard.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Knudson, Mason City; the love of her life, Dean Haberkorn, Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jenny Wagner, Henry Arndt, Howard Arndt, Janet Deets, Mervyle Carey, Merlene Reed, Lyle Arndt and Merlin Arndt.
A family graveside inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, at a later date.
