Lance was in the light weapons infantry of the US Army. He began his Vietnam tour 16 July 1967, and was assigned to A Company, 2n Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, USARV.
While on a combat patrol Lance slipped and fell and caused his M60 discharged and he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the body.
Survived by his parents, Roy Brunson and Mary B Brunson Sobsey.
