WILLIAM WILMS

William Wilms, 76, 1017 North 20th street, retired town of Manitowoc Rapids farmer, died last night at 10 o’clock at his home following a heart attack. He had been in failing health for several years.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of his son, Fred, on the homestead in the town of Manitowoc Rapids.
The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate. Burial will be made in the Kossuth Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Wilms was born July 26, 1861 in the town of Kossuth. On January 3, 1893 he was married to Hulda Naumann, town of Franklin. Two daughters and two sons were born to the union, Mrs. Elmer Teesch of Valders, Mrs. William Monk of Two Rivers route 1, and Walter of Manitowoc, and Fred on the homestead. Mrs. Wilms died in 1909 and Mr. Wilms married a second time, on April 29, 1910, to Louise Willert. Mr. Wilms spent most of his life on the old McAllister farm in the town of Manitowoc Rapids where he moved with his parents when he was 10 years of age. He took over the farm at the age of 32 and worked it until his retirement three years ago, when he moved to Manitowoc.

Survivors include the widow, two sons and two daughters.

The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, when it will be removed to the home of Fred Wilms, Manitowoc route 6.
