Springtown - Wylie Homer Ayers of Benjamin, Knox County, Texas, died Sunday at a Lake Worth nursing home. He was 96.
Graveside service will be at 2 PM today in Goshen Cemetery in Springtown. White's Funeral Home in Springtown is in charge of arrangements.
Mr, Ayers was born in Denton and lived in Poolville as a child. He returned in later years and lived there for 30 years before moving to Benjamin a short time ago. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors: Wife, Lindy Ayers of Arkansas; five sons, Thad Ayers of Marathon, William Ayers of Oklahoma, Albert Ayers of Grapevine, Hugh Ayers of Fort Worth and Clint Ayers of Boyd; two daughters, Leveta Brocksch of Brownwood; one sister, Addie Bennett of Poolville; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
