Alma Williamson (Toots) Janney, 87, of Daleville, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007. Born in Botetourt County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Annie Craft Williamson. She was predeceased by her husband, Harless E. Janney; two brothers, Richard L. Williamson and Glenn Williamson; and two sisters, Oaknelia (Pete) Roberts and Catherine Smith. Mrs. Janney was a member of Bonsack United Methodist Church. She retired from Botetourt County Schools. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Faith Janney; daughter and her loving companion, Betty White and Gary Durney; two grandsons, Nicholas Janney and Philip Janney; a greatgranddaughter, Shelby Wilson; brother, Arthur Williamson and wife, Ella; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Morris will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237.
