Bobby Burns Adams passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. He was born November 18, 1928 in Kountze, TX to E. L. Adams, Jr. and Minnie Rob Adams. He is survived by two brothers, E. L. Adams III of Lancaster, PA and Sam B. Adams of Canyon Lake, TX, and a sister, Orian Ruth Adams of Richmond, TX and many nephews and nieces in Texas and Pennsylvania. Bob moved with his family from Kountze to Baytown in 1943 where he attended R. E. Lee High School prior to joining the Army and serving in Germany. He returned to Baytown to pursue a career as a pipe fitter working at various refineries in the area, including some in Louisiana and the East coast. Bob was very proud of his trade and loyal to his Pipefitters Local 211 in Houston. Bob never met a stranger. He had friends everywhere coffee was sold. He was very interested in politics and was friendly and polite. He was always ready to criticize political and corporate leaders that didn't conform to his way of thinking. One of Bob's strongest attributes was his willingness to assist someone in need and through the years, he helped many people.
