John Charles Cairns, 36, of Waynesburg, a mathematics teacher at California Junior High School, has died suddenly of a heart attack at his home.
Death occurred as he was preparing to leave for his teaching duties in the afternoon session at the school.
A native of Roscoe, Mr. Cairns spent much of his life in California.
He and his wife, Nancy Lee Allen Cairns, moved to Waynesburg four years ago when she became Dean of Women at Waynesburg College.
