Obituary

Aline Richard, 82, of Biddeford, died Monday January 21, 2013 at Southern Maine Medical Center after a long illness. She was born November 19, 1930 in Biddeford, a daughter of Henri and Emma (Genest) Lamirande and was educated in local schools. On January 15, 1949 she married Alphee J. Richard in Biddeford. She began her working life at the Pepperell Mills and then worked as a clerk in many local retail stores. Following her retirement in 1987 she did volunteer work at Goodwill. Aline was past president of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and going shopping. Preceding her in death were: Alphee, her husband of 58 years on September 8, 2007, and her daughter Patricia Perry on October 12, 2007. She was also pre-deceased by brothers Andre and Albert Lamirande and a sister Rita Dussault. Aline is survived by: 3 daughters: Joan Jewett and her husband Frank of Saco Connie Copp and her husband Richard of Lebanon Diane Milliken and her husband Richard of Canaan, CT 3 sons: Michael Richard and his wife Bonnie of Biddeford Larry Richard and his wife Cheryl of Bradenton, FL Steven Richard and his wife Shelley of Arundel 2 sisters: Madeleine Gaudette and her husband Marcel of Biddeford Doris Vadnais and her husband Ralph of Saco 18 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren Visiting Hours will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
