James H. Motley, 57, of Troutville, died Monday, February 19, 1996. He was preceded in death by his mother Roena Mottley, a son, Randy Motley, and a brother Clinton Mottley. He is survived by his wife, Thelma L. Motley; father, Everette T. Mottley; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Estella Motley; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jim Dickenson; stepsons, Calvin and wife, Jeanne Duncan, and Donnie and wife, Debbie Duncan; Goddaughter, Beverly Thomas; nine grandchildren; sisters, Edith Poole, and Helen Mottley; brothers, John Mottley, and Marvin Mottley. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 22,1996 at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Albin P. Crutchfield officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
