Christy went home to be with the Lord early on the morning of November 19, 2015. She was born June 12, 1959 in Chateauroux, France. She grew up in Illinois and California before moving to Washington State, graduating from Mt. Vernon High School in 1977.
Among the various jobs in her lifetime, she worked for Regence Blue Shield and Skagit Regional Clinics in insurance claims and billing. She was an avid reader, a whiz at crossword puzzles, loved classic TV shows and karaoke. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her pride and joy, her three grandchildren. Christy was an amazing woman, full of life, love and wit. She always put others needs before her own and was a blessing to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy; "Nana and Pampa", Carl and Mae Orvis; and "Grandpa Bill" Nunley.
She is survived by her father, Rollin; grandmother, Eula Nunley; uncle, Michael Fox; sisters, Karen (Fred) and Shayla; daughter, Amy; nephews, Tyler and Shaun; niece, Tanya; and grandchildren, Emily, John and Jasmyne.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 1200 E. Fir St., Mt. Vernon, WA. A reception will follow at Kern Funeral Home, 1122 S. 3rd St., Mt.
