Clara B. Beebe, age 94, of LCO, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Golden Living – Valley of Hayward.
Clara Belle Beebe was born December 21, 1920 in Round Lake, the daughter of William and Lucy (Carroll) Belille. She grew up and attended school at Hayward Indian School in Hayward. Clara received her Bachelors and Teaching degree from LCO Community College and taught Native American Language at the college. She resided her whole life in Hayward.
She is survived by her daughter Leona Coon of LCO; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clara was preceded by her parents; two sons Ronald Coon and Joseph Benjamin; two daughter Arnella Coon and Mavis Maciejko; brothers Robert, Alec and Louie Belille.
Tribal Funeral Rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward with David “Maabin” Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24th at the funeral home.
Honorary bearers will be Roger Baker, Dan Barber, Lonnie Barber, Russell Barber, Myron Belisle, William Merrill and Wynn Merrill.
Casket bearers will be Brent Belisle, Darren Merrill, Jackson Merrill, James Merrill, Jaylen Merrill and Daryl Quagon.
