Obituary for Wayland Bailey Jr.
Wayland Earl Bailey, Jr., 64, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Justin Williams and Clay Stevens officiating, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Wayland Earl Bailey, Jr. was born July 3, 1951 in Abilene, Texas to Wayland Earl Bailey, Sr. and Joyce Pinkerton Bailey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a musician with the Army Band. One of his highlights of being in the Army Band was playing for the Crown Prince of Nepal. He also was a pilot and taught flying. He was co-owner in Bailey’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service. He was also a member of the First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother Joyce Bailey, one Aunt Janice Vernon and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Meals on Wheels or the American Cancer Society.
