OAKLAND -- The funeral for Clara Maye Larson, 96, of Oakland, formerly of Uehling, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Elim Lutheran Church in Swaburg, rural Hooper.

She died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at Oakland Heights Nursing Home in Oakland.

Clara Graver was born Sept. 2, 1904, in rural Craig. She attended rural school and was a 1923 graduate of Craig High School. She taught rural school in Craig area for three years. She married John Larson Dec. 30, 1930, in the Elim parsonage. They farmed in the Uehling area and retired into Uehling in 1969. Her spouse died in 1992.

She was a lifelong member of Elim Lutheran Church. She was a member of Elim's women's group and extension club.

Survivors include: 18 nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

The Revs. Betty Hadley and Mark Eldal will officiate Thursday's service. Visitation will be 1-8 tonight at Palmquist-Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland and will continue one hour prior to services time at the church. Burial will be in Swaburg Cemetery in Swaburg.

Memorials have been established to Elim Lutheran Church and Oakland Heights Nursing Home.
