Freda Kathleen Cumming, 87, of Prince Street, Truro, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Salmon River, she was a daughter of the late Frederick P. and Erema A. (Hyson) MacNutt. She was a member of the Brunswick Street United Church, Truro. She loved gardening, playing cards and sports, especially hockey. She is survived by sons, Ian, James (Sherry), both of Truro; daughter, Lynne (Gerry) Lantz, Dieppe, N.B.; brother, Gilbert, Fredericton, N.B.; sisters, Arlene Crowell, Ruby Totten, both of Truro; sister-in-law, Audrey MacNutt, Truro; grandchildren, Gerriann (Brian) Davidson, Ross, Benjamin, Will; step-granddaughter, Becki (Sandro) Halton; great-grandchildren, Nick, Cassie, Sam; step-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Logan. She was predeceased by her husband, Ian Campbell Cumming; infant daughters, Sally Ann and Shelly Virginia; brother, Howard. Visitation will be held 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 1, followed by memorial service at 1 p.m., all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. David Lutes officiating, with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in the Watson Cemetery, Truro. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of your choice.
