Information from Our Heritage (Feb 2004)--Van Zandt Co., Genealogical Society Vol. 25, No. 1:
"Texas Methodist Newspaper" May 16, 1885 Vol. XXXI #35: Mary M. Beggs was born September 9, 1866. Her maiden name was Stewart. She was married to Robert Beggs December 27, 1884; professed religion and joined the M.E. Church, South, at camp-meeting in the fall of 1880, and died at her grandmother's in Van Zandt Co., Texas, March 31, 1885. A.J. Gray
Texan Telephone (April 11, 1885): "Mrs. M.M. Beggs died on the 31st inst. and was buried at Tunnell's Chapel on the 1st. She had been sick for some time, and was attended by two of our best physicians, but to no purpose. She leaves numerous relationship to mourn her loss."
Note: Tunnell's Chapel changed to Colfax Cemetery.
