Mrs. Baumann was born on January 28, 1903 in Hamburg to the late Friedich and Mathilda (Haehlke) Voigt. She married Erwin E. Baumann on September 27, 1924 in Hamburg.
The Baumann's farmed at the home in the Town of Berlin until retiring in 1966. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a former member of the church's Ladies Aid, and the Berlin Homemakers Club. She remained active in the Merrill Golden Agers, and the Wausau Senior Citizens until her death.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Erwin Jr. of the Town of Berlin; a daughter, Mrs. Arlin (Agnes) Steckling, Hamburg; a sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Helen) Riemer, Rib Falls; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother, two sisters, and a son David, who died in 1976, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 12, 1985 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Naugart. The Rev. Allen Loonquist officiated and burial took place in the church cemetery.
