John Larson dies at Age 90

Funeral services for John Larson were held Mon., Nov. 9,
1992 at Elim Lutheran Church of Swaburg. He died November 6
at Oakland Heights Nursing Home at the age of 90.
The Rev. Mark Eldal officiated at the service. Edna
Bergquist was organist and Nick Janssen was soloist.
Pallbearers were Bob Freberg, Ramon Janssen, Jim Graver,
Gilbert Bridges, Kent Popken and Sidney Claussen. Interment
was at the Swaburg cemetery with Warne-Johnson Funeral Home
in charge.
Larson was born April 8, 1902 in Burt County. He
attended Swaburg school and farmed east of the Swaburg area,
retiring in 1969 when he moved to Uehling.
He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church of Swaburg.
Larson married Clara Graver Dec. 30, 1930 at Swaburg.
Survivors include his wife and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,
Walt and Elmer; and four sisters, Gertie Conklin, Luella
Wagner, Lillian Meyer and Blanche Popken.
