Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday for Mrs. Carl Meyer

Lillian E. Meyer, age 74, was born July 5, 1904 on a farm
near Uehling, Nebr. She died Sunday, May 27, at the Good
Samaritan Center in Scribner.
Mrs. Meyer was baptized and confirmed at the Elim Lutheran
Church at Swaburg, Nebr. She graduated from the Craig High
School and attended Wayne State Teachers College and the
University of Nebr. She taught school for several years prior
to her marriage.
She was united in marriage with Carl H. Meyer on Dec. 12,
1929. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay, and her husband,
Gilbert Bridges of Fremont; two grandchildren, Jeff and Mike
Bridges; also one brother, John Larson of Uehling; and several
nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Meyer was employed for many years at Lee's Market at
Scribner.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church at Scribner on Thursday, May 31, at 2 p.m. with Pastor
Donald E. Brunner officiating. Interment will be at the
Swaburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Spear Funeral Home Wednesday,
May 30, from 2 to 9 p.m.
Memorials have been established for the St. Peter's
Lutheran Church and the Good Samaritan Center a Scribner.
