Raymond was the son of Joseph Taxes and Rosella Stone. He married Barbara Gittings and they had four children: Raymond, Gloria, Lynn and Kathryn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and an employee of Servomation of Louisville. Raymond died at the age of 65.
