Mabel A. Purdy Edwards, 82, of 152 S. 18th St., Easton, formerly of 2406 Forest St., Wilson died Wednesday in Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson. She was the wife of Warren D. Edwards and the widow of Harold C. Purdy. The Edwards observed their 18th wedding anniversary in January.
She was a warper for Charles Montague Stationers, Easton, for many years before retiring in 1975.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mabel A. (Zane) Kreitz.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson.
Survivors: Sister, Isabelle Jones of Lakeland, Fla.; stepson, Brooks R. Edwards of Louisville, Ky.; stepdaughter, Doris E., wife of William J. Poole of Allentown; four step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.
