Violet A. Biertzer, (nee Crass), age 87, of Barton, passed away Sunday August 13, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the town of Polk.
She was born on September 27, 1918 in Fillmore to the late Leonard and Louise (nee Chesak) Crass, and was united in marriage to John H. Biertzer in January of 1934.

Violet worked at the West Bend Company for many years until retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish, the West Bend Company 25 year club, and the Young at Heart club. Violet was currently residing at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.

She is survived by four children, Dennis (Bev) Biertzer of Arbor Vita, Dawn (Tom) Rinzel of West Bend, Mary Ann (Jack) Rose of West Bend, and Mark (Special Friend Cindy Tucek) Biertzer of West Bend; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, June Rennicke of Thiensville; a sister-in-law, Harriet Biertzer of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna "Tootie" Scott; a son, Robert Biertzer; a granddaughter, Carla Biertzer; a great-grandson, Todd Lehnartz; a sister, Fern Kumrow; and three brothers, James Crass, Merle "Sonny" Crass, and Iver Crass.
