ORESTE D. BRAZZALE

Oreste D. (Rusty) Brazzale, 70, of 5016 (or 5916??) County Trunk Highway R, Rockwood, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
A memorial Mass will be 1 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. E. A. Radey and Rev. John Haen will concelebrate the Mass.
Mr. Brazzale was born Nov. 30, 1914, at Fond du Lac, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Mary Cappozzo Brazzale. He grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and was a 1934 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a member of C.C.C. in the 1930's and had been very active in Manitowoc County Baseball League in the 1930's. Mr. Brazzale was employed at Rockwell Lime Company for 35 years, retiring in 1980 as Vice President of Operations. He married Anne Marie Fetzer June 1, 1946, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Mr. Brazzale was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, past president of the parish council, past president of Manitowoc County Deanery of the Holy Name Society, past president of Roncalli Athletic Association and a former member of Roncalli Board of Education, member of Serra Club of Manitowoc, Manitowoc Council No. 710, Knights of Columbus, Golden K. Kiwanis Club and Manitowoc Chapter of Isaac Walton League. Mr. Brazzale served in Italy, North Africa and France from 1942 to 1945, attaining rank of Sergeant when he was honorably discharged. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Corps as a Medic.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Carol of Sheboygan, Stephen and Jean of Stevens Point, Ned and Dawn and Conrad and Mary all of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Clare and Stan Zimmerman of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Ms. Linda Brazzale of Manitowoc, Mrs. Olga Bianconi of Westland, Mich., and Mrs. Erminia Sabadasz of Buffalo, N.Y., eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, David.
The Brazzale Family will receive relatives and friends at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning until the time of services.
