Adam was the son of August Wilt and Mary Gebhart. On 29 Aug 1905 he married Marie Audry. She died in 1907 and on 11 Jun 1912 he married Elizabeth Curley. They divorced in 1914 and on 28 Jul 1920 he married his third wife, Rose Von Allmen, and they had one son, Joseph. At the time of his death Adam was a clerk for the Progress Paint Co. He died suddenly of bronchial asthma at the age of 49.
