June Rose Anthony, age 66, of Canon City Colo., died May 10, 2000 in Canon City, Colo.
Memorial Services were held on Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Holt Chapel of the Garden. Cremation having taken place.
She was born June 8, 1933, in Manitowoc, Wis., daughter of the late Erwin and Josephine (Gracykowski ) Schuette. June graduated from high school in Mishicot, Wis. She moved to Colorado in the late 1950's, and lived in Denver and Colorado Springs. In Colorado Springs, she worked for School District 11 at their Administration Building and at Doherty High School. She married Tony Anthony in August of 1982, at Lake George, Colo. June loved flower gardening and several years ago her home was included in a Canon Tour of Garden Homes. She painted with oils, worked with stained glass and enjoyed hiking and fishing in the mountains. She usually caught more fsh than her companions. June had sold some of her oil paintings to various restaurants.
Survivors include her step-children, Steve Anthony, New Castle, Renee Savickas, Castle Rock, Angela Stelter, Conroe, Texas; seven step grandchildren. Sisters, Mary Hebert, Manitowoc, Wis., Nancy Lee, St. Paul, Minn., JoAnn Thom, Pensacola, Karen Tuschl, Green Bay, Wis., Jackie Schroeder, Manitowoc, Wis.; brothers, Erwin, Jerry, James Robert, Greg, and Guy.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Friends of Hospice through the funeral Home.
