Edwin Barboza 18, Loses Life When Rowboat is Overturned on Pond The second Falmouth drowning accident in less' than A week occurred Tuesday afternoon when Edwin- C. Barboza, 18, son of—Mrs and Mrs. Anthony Barboza, drowned in Spectacle Pond, Teaticket, after a rowboat capsized. Charles A. White, employed in the town survey office, recovered the body from about 12 feet of water a half-hour after the accident. A requiem mass was celebrated this morning at 8 A. M. at St. Anthony's Church, East Falmouth. Burial was at St. Anthony's cemetery. ' . The youthful Teaticket victim was rowing in a flat-bottom boat with friends. As they neared the shore a young friend lost his balance when he made a too-strenuous lunge with his oar and fell in the water. The sudden movement caused the boat to overturn, throwing in his companions,also.
