Interred or re-interred 20 Sep 1858; in the lot of Charles E & Anna C (Weatherwax) AllenWilliam Allen was born circa Mar 1842 in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts and died in Aug 1842 Boston, MA at age 4 months 23 days.

William was originally interred in St Matthews Church Cemetery in Boston in 1842 and on 20 Sep 1858 he was reinterred in Mount Auburn Lot 1007, Fir Avenue. This lot was originally owned by John Trowbridge and purchased by Charles E Allen and wife, Anna C Weatherwax Allen circa 1857/1858. Anna C Allen then had sons, Charles L Allen and William Allen plus father Jacob Weatherwax and grandmother Margaret Fuller Shipley moved from St Matthews Church Cemetery to Mount Auburn on 20 Sep 1858.

The Mount Auburn cemetery website has a photo of the joint headstone of Jacob Weatherwax [Wetherwax on stone], Margaret Shipley, William and Charles Allen plus Anna C Allen who died in 1881.

Per cemetery records, Charles L Allen and brother William Allen are buried in Grave #4 and #5 of Lot 1007, Fir Avenue.
