William was the son of Ernest Zimmerman and Ethel Davis. He married Edna Wigginton Fendley who had one daughter, Dorothy, from a previous marriage. At the time of his death he was a wrecker driver for Bluegrass Wrecker Service. William died at Louisville General Hospital of a subdural hematoma at the age of 33.
