Bobbie was the youngest of fourteen children. She retired from Lumberton Independent School District after twenty-seven years as the secretary of Lumberton Primary School. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Adams, Jr.; son, Joel Adams; and great-granddaughter, Tabitha Ann Adams.

Bobbie Jean Harris Adams, 83, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015. She was born June 13, 1932, in Angelina County, to Manda Widner Harris and Larkin Joel Harris.
Bobbie was the youngest of fourteen children. She retired from Lumberton Independent School District after twenty-seven years as the secretary of Lumberton Primary School.
Survivors include family and friends.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Adams’ sitters; Rosie, Anna, Nenette, and Emily, as well as the staff of Harbor Hospice and Physicians Link Home Health for all the loving care given to her.

A gathering of Mrs. Adams’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her memorial service at 2:00p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015, at First Baptist Church Loeb, 3082 Highway 69 South, Lumberton. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
