Loving grandfather of Yehiel Levinson, Orly (Matan) Avraham, Ma'ayan, Amit Levinson; Josh (Nicky Babcock) Rotter, Talia Rose (Leo) Foster, Jenni (Jeff) Ott, Corrine (Justin) Lang, Jeremy (Habeeba) Rotter, Mitchell (Christina) Pope; Matan, Vered, Itai Feinberg and 7 great-grandchildren. Fond brother-in-law of William (Joyce) and the late Melvin (Maxine) Orenstein; Max (the late Lillian) Kleiman. Cherished uncle of Joe, William, Mark and the late Daniel Kleiman. Merton practiced law in Milwaukee at Warshafsky, Rotter, Tarnoff for 60 years. He was very active in the Milwaukee Jewish community and the greater community.
Funeral services 11:30 AM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, 2020 W. Brown Deer Rd., River Hills. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery, 166 S. Hawley Ct., Milwaukee. Memorial gifts to the Merton and Dorothy Rotter Fund at the Milwaukee JCC or the Daniel Kleiman Pancreatic Cancer Fund at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center are appreciated.
The family will receive friends following burial on Thursday at Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun. On Saturday through Tuesday from 5-8 PM the family will receive friends at 2115 W Norfolk Ct, Mequon.
