Mary traveled with her husband, John and children from Ohio to Owen County, IND in the early 1800's to settle in farming. Other family members joined them and settled around one another. The children married and moved on with other family members to homestead land in Nebraska. John died before Mary. She died between 1870 and 1880. She lived with her daughter Rachael Reeder and family until her death. She is laid to rest with her husband John in this cemetery, however there are no markings.
