Antoinette Gosz, 76, of 1530 S. 38th St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, July 2, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:15 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 am at St. Anne Catholic church, Francis Creek. Msgr. James Feeley will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery.
Mrs. Gosz was born March 16, 1911 at Patti, Sicily, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Tramantana Leggio. She was married to Roman (Romy) Gosz, June 5, 1929 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. He preceded her in death August 29, 1966. Mrs. Gosz was a graduate of Milwaukee School of Business and was also the owner operator with her husband, Romy Gosz of Romy and Toni's Tavern and Dance Hall at Polivka's Corners. Mrs. Gosz was a member of Manitowoc Women's Bowling Association for close to 50 years, having won the City 600 Bowling Tournament in 1985-1986 season at the age of 74.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Anthony and Mary Jane Gosz of Manitowoc, Thomas C. Gosz of Manitowoc, George T. and Nancy Gosz of Manitowoc and Lloyd J. and Ruth Gosz of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Ramona (Tootsie) C. and Dick Bouril of Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Josephine Leggio of Milwaukee; a sister, Anna Bleser of Manitowoc; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Wenzel (Maria) Chvala.
