Mrs. Eunice Harriett Kring, 82, a former Traverse City area resident, died Tuesday evening at the home of her son, Melvin E. Kring, in Akron, O. after a lingering illness.
Eunice Ayers was born April 13, 1881 at Old Mission, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ayers, and lived in this area until moving to Akron several years ago to live with her son. She was a member of the Christian Mission Alliance of Sawyerwood, O.
On February 29, 1904 at Old Mission she married to Edward E. Kring who preceded her in death, as did a son, Richard.
Surviving are; three sons, Melvin of Akron, William of Downer's Grove, ILL., and Harry of Frankfort; four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Burch of Akron, Mrs. Edith Robbins, and Mrs. Irene Hutt of Detroit, and Mrs. Lucial Donner of Traverse City: two-daughters, Mrs. Bertha Rathurn of Kaleva and Mrs. Eva Carr of Carp Lake; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Ayers of Flint and Bert Ayers of Kingsley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Reynolds funeral home in Traverse City. Rev. Jack Isaac officiating with burial in Oakwood cemetery. The body is to arrive at the funeral home at 10:35 a.m. Friday.
