Joe was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Edward and Irma Bair. He married Mary Ellen Long in 1948, and they were married 67 years until her death earlier this year.
Joe dedicated his life to his family; he led by example, providing a road map of excellence in all endeavors. His belief in God and church gave him the foundation for his marriage and the tolerance and discipline to raise his nine children. Each one of his children learned special lessons from their father and have a special place in their hearts for him. He was dearly loved and respected by all his grandchildren whom he guided with kind and loving words. All who had dealings with him knew he was a special person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ellen; and daughter, Joan.
Joe is survived by his children and their spouses, grandchildren and spouses, 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister.
