Harry A. Bowman San Bernardino, CA A victim of the San Bernardino massacre, Harry A. "Hal" Bowman, 46, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. He was employed at the Department of Public Health. Hal grew up in York, went to Dallastown High School and graduated with his Bachelor's and Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University. He received his PHD from Ohio State University. He moved to California more than 15 years ago; enjoyed hiking, gaming, reading, and taking his daughters to museums, galleries and dancing. Hal was strong in his faith and often taught confirmation classes in the past. He loved the National Parks and intended to volunteer when he retired. Hal is survived by his mother, brother and sister-in-law, sister and two beautiful daughters. Also grieving his loss are nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends from around the country. A private memorial service will take place in California. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York, is assisting with arrangements.
