Virtus Glenn Edmundson, 85, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away December 3, 2015. He was born on October 8, 1930 in Gibson County, Tennessee to Wade C. Edmundson and Addie L. Smith Edmundson.

Virtus served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Virtus went to work for Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Division for 17 years. Virtus was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his kind and warm heart.

Virtus is survived by children Glenn (Vickie) Edmundson, Eugene (Sylvia) Edmundson, Wayne (Patty) Edmundson, Michelle (Dennis) Williams, Teresa (Mickey) Bouyea, Ian Edmundson and Michael Edmundson, grandchildren Christopher (Lacie) Edmundson, Donovan (Amanda) Edmundson, Jennifer (Ken) McLemore, Shaunte (Gary) Ruppert, Heather Edmundson, Tiffany (Steven) Bruce, Timothy (Brittany) Williams, Daniel Edmundson and Danielle (Shawn) Cowart, great grandchildren Dominick, Kaitlyn, Grant, Gavin, Caleb, Andrew, Yanah, Gabriel, Georgeanna and Chastity, sister Rebecca Powers, brother Benjamin Haskell, a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Maureen T. Edmundson, a son Ian Keith Edmundson and a sister Nancy Haskell.
