JEFFERSONVILLE -- Frederick Joseph "Joe" Babbitt Jr., 38, died Monday at his residence. He was a native of Owensboro, KY and president of a local mechanical contractor. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Kelli Ketchem; children, Brittney, Abigail, Olivia and Samuel Babbitt; father, Fred Babbitt Sr.; sisters, Sarah Roberts and Anastacia Babbitt; grandparents, Clayton and Dorothy Kerstetter; niece, Jessica Roberts; nephews, Jackson Ketchem, Ryan and Parker Roberts and Dakotah and Gabriel Babbitt; and godchild. Alexa Ketchem. His mother, Sharon Marie Babbitt, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St. in New Albany, IN, from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, IN, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
