Albert A. Brooker, 73, Cedar Ridge resident and a native of Ohio, died 6:40 p.m. yesterday at the Nevada County Hospital where he had been a patient but two days.
He had been making his home in this area for the past eight years. Funeral services and obituary details are pending at Hooper Weaver Mortuary.
Rites for Albert Brooker Held Here This Morning
Graveside funeral services for Albert A. Brooker, 73, of Cedar Ridge, were held at 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Grass Valley.
The Rev. J. V. Best of the Congregational Church in Grass Valley officiated at the services conducted under Hooper-Weaver auspices.
Brooker, a native of Ohio, died Thursday in the Nevada County Hospital. He had spent most of his life in Santa Barbara where he moved at the age of 20. He worked there in the food packing business. The family moved to the Cedar Ridge area eight years ago.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Betty Tamietti, Grass Valley; Mrs. Evelyn Ramos, Cedar Ridge; Mrs. Marge Lawrence, Sacramento; Mrs. Deannie Lopez, Los Angeles; two sons, Willam A. and Ernest L. Brooker, Montana; a brother, Charles Brooker, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lewis, Indiana; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
